Tumblr Tuesday

I’m still a bit of a novice when it comes to tumblr, but I’m getting the hang of it.  I’m not all that involved in the posting side of things, aside from the occasional reblog, but my dashboard is filling up with brilliant content every day from each of the 105 [and counting] tumblogs that I now follow.  Here are some of my favourite music-related ones:

Copy Cats
I’ve already mentioned my love of cover versions, so for me this is almost heaven in blog form.  From Sia covering Radiohead, to Mumford and Sons’ take of Neil Young, there is so much here that I absolutely adore.

Awesome People Drinking Tea
This one’s not exclusively music-related, but if you like tea, then it’s most certainly the tumblr for you.  Tea-sipping celebrities include everyone from the Rolling Stones to the Beatles to Lady Gaga.

Fuck Yeah Scottish Vocals
Something that I was quick to learn on tumblr, is that many fanblogs begin with “fuck yeah” or “fuck yes” or “f y”.  So, if you’re a fan of, say, Scottish vocals, try searching for “fuck yeah Scottish vocals”.  This is what you’ll find.  Featuring Frightened Rabbit, Biffy Clyro, The View, Teenage Fanclub, and many other kilt-wearing, haggis-loving musos, this blog focuses purely on the music.  And the lovely accents.

Fuck Yeah Florence Welch
Along with fuckyeahflowelch, this blog should satisfy your every Florence + the Machine-related need.  Predominantly pictures, it’s a celebration of everyone’s favourite fiery redhead.

Fuck Yeah Garbage
Speaking of redheads, there’s even a tumblr dedicated to my favourite band of all time, Garbage.  Hayley Williams from Paramore re-created this picture for a magazine feature.  The sight of it made me physically ill.  HOW DARE SHE TRY TO BE SHIRLEY MANSON.  Just, no.

Fuck Yeah The Beatles
Where would we be if there weren’t a tumblr dedicated to the fab four.  Everything John/Paul/George/Ringo is covered here.  Click, follow, love.
