The North Melbourne Market + CACTASAURUS
Clockwise from the top: 1. Bronnie with her peanut butter & jelly cupcake [from Sticky Fingers]; 2. My mini vanilla and chocolate & raspberry cupcakes [from Buttercup Bakeshoppe]; 3. Hot chocolate at Fräus.
This morning, Bronnie and I met Chloe at The North Melbourne Market. Held inside the Lithuanian Club on Errol St, the market costs $2 to enter, and is full of stores selling vintage clothes, handmade jewellery, and – of course – cupcakes.
While Bronnie and Chloe tried on vintage cardigans and browsed button earrings, I found myself distracted by the “Cactasaurus” cactus planters made by the clever people at Call Me Ishmael. While I didn’t buy one this time, I had to seriously convince myself that I didn’t need one right now. When I get my new desk, however, it’ll need some decoration…
Seriously – how awesome are they?! [Image from the Call Me Ishmael facebook page].
Yeah, I’m definitely going to have to get one of those. The next North Melbourne Market is on May 27th – perhaps I’ll see you there.
