Three Things 27.09.2017

NaNoWriMo WRITER FRIEND: Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? ME: (without thinking) Yes. The next thing I knew, I was part of a National Novel Writing Month 2017 facebook group, had brainstormed a story outline, and reactivated my profile.

Duly Noted

I’m off to Canberra on Sunday for the final day of Noted Festival, where I’ll be doing a reading for The Fearless Writing Project, spending all my money at the Independent Publishing Fair, and running a teen writing workshop about story structure.

#WriteEveryDayInMay 2017

One year ago, I set myself a challenge. Inspired by the Rock and Roll Writers Festival, The Lifted Brow’s experimental writing competition, and a pile of incredible YA novels, I decided to write 1000 words every single day throughout the month of May.

NaNoWriMo 2016

Hey, remember when I pledged to write at least 1000 words a day for the entire month of May, and somehow managed to pull it off?

Day Twenty-Four

I didn’t think I’d make it this far. Twenty-five days ago, at the end of April, I told the internet that I was going to write one thousand words every single day in May.
