Parklife 2012

The Parklife 2012 line-up was released this morning, and it’s looking a little bland. In fact, the only name on there that excites me in the slightest is Robyn.

See for yourself:
The Presets, Passion Pit, Plan B, Nero (Live), Justice (DJ Set), Tame Impala, Robyn, Chairlift, Chiddy Bang, Wiley, Hermitude, Parachute Youth, Rusko, Benga (Live), Citizens!, Charli XCX, St Lucia, DJ Fresh (Live), Jack Beats (Live), Modestep, Softwar (East Coast), Alison Wonderland, Art Department, Flume, Lee Foss, Jacques Lu Cont, Labrinth, Rizzle Kicks + more to come

Wiley is fun, and Justice are pretty great (although they’re just doing a DJ set, which might not be so awesome), but overall, the lineup simply isn’t anything to write home about. All I can hope is that after the disappointing Splendour line-up, this means that all the good bands are saving themselves for Falls…

(That said, there is one amazing looking festival coming up: Harvest. I’ll be writing more about that in the days to come.)

Parklife is in Melbourne on Saturday 6th October, at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

Please excuse any weirdness in this post; I’m testing out the WordPress iPad app. Aside from some autocorrect issues, I think it’s pretty good.
